Global Rescue received a call from one of its corporate clients, stating that an employee’s daughter was unaccounted for in Santiago, Chile. The woman, in her 20s, was working in the country as a teacher for a non-profit organization when the massive earthquake struck. The employee’s repeated efforts to contact her failed. Global Rescue activated its assets on the ground in Santiago, who successfully determined the exact location of the young woman in a matter of hours and put her in touch with her parents.
Meanwhile, staff at the Boston Operations Center continues to coordinate logistics for a number of its clients and to prepare for anyone else who needs Global Rescue’s help.
