DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., February 15, 2017 – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced today that travel risk management firm, Global Rescue, will serve as the Tour’s Official Travel Risk and Crisis Management Provider. The new agreement highlights the Tour’s continued commitment to safety and security and goes into effect at this week’s ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open in Adelaide, Australia.

“Providing the highest level of safety remains a top priority for the LPGA. Our partnership with Global Rescue provides an additional layer of security for our Tour abroad,” said Heather Daly-Donofrio, Chief Communications and Tour Operations Officer for the LPGA.

Global Rescue will provide medical, security, evacuation and travel risk management for LPGA players, caddies, and staff when traveling internationally. The program focuses on medical advisory services, medical transport, security evacuations and travel intelligence through the company’s GRID platform, which serves as a travel intelligence system to provide the most up-to-date information for each destination.

The partnership with Global Rescue comes at a time when the LPGA continues to grow its tournaments and events. The 2017 season boasts 35 events, including four new tournaments and the return of the Solheim Cup to the Midwest.
